Details of maps

 

Maps 1 and 2 are available from Gairloch Heritage Museum. These cover grid squares, all NG, 7977, 8074, 8075, 8076, 8077, 8174 and 8175.

 

Maps 3 and 4 actually comprise one map and cover the rectangle bounded by NG7370 in the southwest and NG8275 in the northeast. Map 3 covers the area east of easting 78 while map 4 covers the area to the west.

 

Spellings were standardised October 1997 and may differ from those on maps 1 and 2 as published.

 

Italic type, used on the maps to indicate names recorded on O.S. maps but not obtained recently from informants, have not been included in this list.
